Job Description 

The Delivery Lead / Program Manager will be responsible for leading a highly complex finance transformation program within a financial services organization that operates across multiple countries and regions. This program involves transitioning from multiple geo-specific legacy applications to a consolidated finance and accounting solution, incorporating improved business processes, the adoption of cutting-edge technology, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience managing end-to-end delivery of large-scale transformation programs, from initiation through to handover to business-as-usual operations. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Develop and manage SAP S/4 HANA plans and schedules, monitoring and controlling the implementation team.
  • Execute team plans and schedules, reporting issues and progress to the Steering Committee.
  • Deliver the project using a Hybrid Agile methodology, ensuring flexibility and effective collaboration between teams.
  • Refine and implement project-related standards, templates, and procedures, ensuring that the team is properly trained on tools, templates, procedures, and standards as part of the SAP deployment effort.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to analyse and understand the current and future state of business processes, organizational structure, master data, and requirements.
  • Oversee the development of functional specifications, collaborating with development teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and designs.
  • Coordinate with local management to plan and schedule testing activities, providing leadership and support throughout the execution of testing.
  • Work closely with the Training team to develop training materials, coordinating with the Training Factory to ensure comprehensive “Train the Trainer” sessions are delivered.
  • Plan and schedule cutover and go-live activities, in collaboration with local management, the Data Conversion team, and the Training team.
  • Manage the deployment of cutover and go-live activities, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems to SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Oversee post-go-live support, leading a team to address and resolve any post-go-live issues.
  • Manage relationships with product and downstream application owners to ensure necessary resources and attention are dedicated to the project.

Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
 

  • 20+ years of experience in SAP Consulting and Delivery, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex programs.
  • Successfully managed 2-3 end-to-end SAP implementations for a global organization, specifically in finance transformation programs.
  • Expert in SAP Finance and Controlling, with experience as a lead consultant in a transformation environment.
  • Solid understanding and experience in using Agile Methodology, DevOps, and Storyboarding for project management.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience conducting daily stand-up meetings and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing and engaging with key stakeholders and senior project sponsors or steering committees.
