Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter Targets Update

In 2023, CubeMatch became an early signatory to Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter, a commitment to achieve greater gender inclusivity and balance across all levels.

At CubeMatch, we believe that powering change starts with acknowledging the importance of women representation and the need for gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Gender Equality and Inclusivity for all is high on our Senior Management Team’s agenda. As a company we have set ourselves targets to ensure women are represented at all levels across the company and will continue to put supports and systems in place to ensure we achieve these targets.

// Some of the ways we do this are:

  • When hiring or promoting roles, we will ensure a diverse range of CVs are presented – we will always hire the best candidate.
  • The flexibility around Hybrid work also allows many women to come back to work, particularly those who have taken career breaks to raise families or to be carers. We are actively working with organisations who specialise in helping highly skilled women return to the workforce.
  • We will be working to identify talented employees to help them gain the experience necessary to enter Senior Roles, providing executive coaching is just one way we do this.
  • We will also be working with industry pioneers and other Government initiatives to remove any obstacles surrounding gender equality within Finance. We have introduced training around unconscious bias to ensure that all employees and candidates are given the best possible opportunity.
  • We have partnerships in place with: the Irish Management Institute, the 30% Club, Women Reboot and Women Returners.

// Targets - we are delighted to report that CubeMatch has achieved the following:

  • C-Suite to increase female representatives by 10%. This goal was achieved in 2024 when Katie Molony was appointed as CubeMatch Group CMO.
  • Senior Management representation is set at 50% male and 50% female and we are delighted to say that we continue to maintain this.
  • Junior Employees: female representation is at 61% and male representation is at 39%. However, when we dissect this further, our Junior Practitioners are only represented by 41% female. The challenge we see here is that there are limited applications or curriculum for Female Practitioners at entry level and as a company we are doing everything we can to encourage future female applications in these roles.
  • Achieving 50% male/female ratio for Senior Practitioners. In 2023 we achieved 33% female ratio and in 2024 we have achieved 43% female ratio. This is a significant improvement compared to 2023 and it reflects a number of targeted key hires of senior consultants.
